Nicole&Chris: Surprise couple session.

I remember getting an email back in July from a girl named, Nicole. She told me that she had been reading my blog and loved my work and also told me about her own love for photography and her dream to pursue it as a career. I love emails like this.... chatting with aspiring photographers about ANYTHING from technical stuff to pure inspiration. I love it all. I am very open about my willingness to answer questions about what I know and give advice where I can. Which is probably why I get just as many emails from other photographers as I do from clients.....
But anyway...a few months down the road, an old friend from highschool tells me that her boyfriend's little sister is my BIGGEST FAN. When I asked her what her name was(because I had to know who my supposed biggest fan was!!!!!!!) it turned out to be the same Nicole I had talked to in email a few months prior. I thought it was awesome!
To add to the coincidence...not too long ago, I was in Best Buy shopping for yet another external hard drive and I began chatting with the clerk who was helping me out, his name was Chris. He reminded me about how we met briefly, awhile back, through Ty Lamothe. (So I might be a little young for my memory to be so bad, but unfortunately sometimes IT IS!!!!). He then proceeded to tell me that his girlfriend, Nicole, "reads my blog more than I do". And in case you were wondering...yes it was the same Nicole! I had yet to meet her, but I definitely liked this girl already ;)
So this brings us to last weekend....I get an email from Chris, Nicole's boyfriend. He was inquiring about booking a session for the two of them and I LOVED the idea. What I didn't know right away though..was that Nicole knew nothing of it and the session would be a surprise. (Which btw is SOOOOOO ridiculously sweet! Props to you Chris on your good boyfriend skills!!!) So with lots of sneaking and plotting in a short amount of time, Chris told Nicole that he would be taking her out to dinner and to wear her favorite outfit :)
On Monday afternoon, Chris brought Nicole to me.....blindfolded. After revealing the real plans to her...we went on to have an AMAZING session.(These two are model material, seriously.) And to say the least, the whole concept of this session definitely made my entire week.
OH! BUT THERE'S MORE!!!!!! During our session we chatted quite a bit about photography and Nicole's plans. She told me that she was in the market for a camera body and I gave her my advice on where to look, what to look for, etc. Much to my surprise, she purchased the Canon 50D, JUST A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER! I am so excited to see what she does and where she takes her passion. I know she will be amazing!!!
So Nicole...here's a little piece for you....
Thank you so much for being so supportive! I think it is so sweet that you have not only taken the time to look at my work and read my(sometimes ridiculously long) blog posts, but also to tell myself and other people how much you like it. I really appreciate it all! (especially that you've made me feel worthy of a NUMBER ONE FAN! hahahha). I am so excited for you as you start in your journey into photography :)

So I don't really remember what Chris did this for, but it turned out really cute/funny and for some reason I had to blog it! Ha!


Nicole, you may think you're my biggest fan...but really I'M YOUR biggest fan..of you and your ridiculous beauty!! Oh hey Chris, almost forgot...you're lookin' good too man! (Blame it on your gorgeous girlfriend for coming in and stealing all of your spotlight). Hahahaha. You guys are the best!!
